National 18 - UK and Ireland Class Championship 2023
The IOMYC is delighted to welcome the National 18 ft class returning to the Island to host the Prosper² National 18ft Class Championship the "Cock of the North" after an absence of 13 years on the 23rd-28th July 2023. It will be fantastic to welcome friends old and new, to Bay ny Carrickey
Schedule
Racing will be held over five days commencing on the Sunday evening with a practice session and first race. The final prizegiving dinner and party will be held on Friday evening - so make sure you don't plan to leave until Saturday.
Social Program
The Man, the Myth, the Legend, Pete Barlow will be heading up this year's social calendar. Further updates are to follow but you best get rehearsing now
Travel
The Island is accessible by both sea and air. As many competitors will be arriving with their boat in tow, ferry sailings leave from Heysham & Liverpool in the UK and from Dublin and Belfast if arriving from Ireland. The Island only has one ferry operator, the Isle of Man Steam Packet.

Sailings Available from Dublin 10.45 (23/07) out Return Belfast 19:30 (29/07) - Sailings available from the UK daily either Heysham or Liverpool. Please consider that the landing stage at liverpool is tight and therefor the best option will be Heysham, when Towing.

Due to the timing of the event, it is strongly recommended that you book your ferries early.

There are a number of accommodation options around Port St. Mary and a link to those options can be found in the attached documents. It is again, highly recommended that you book early as we have been made aware that spaces are filling up fast (not necessarily for the sailing)

Entry
Entry can be made online via this website and is open, Late entries beyond 23/06/2023 will be subject to a £40 additional fee, so be sure to enter early as it helps us prepare the best experience for you. A further information pack will be sent to all entrants with 30 days to go.

The Island has many things to do and is incredibly beautiful in places, We have scheduled a lay day for you all and if all goes to plan, you may wish to visit one or any of the following during your time off.
